FAQ

The event will be held on Sunday 18th April 2021 at the Tamworth Criterium Track (located in the Northern Inland Centre of Sporting Excellence - at the end of Jack Smyth Drive. The Main event is the 8-hour event and will commence from 8:00am. There will also be a 4-hour event commencing from 12:00pm. Both events will conclude at 4:00pm. 

The Pedal the Peel Cycling Challenge has been around since 2010 and has been run by the Rotary Club of Tamworth First Light. The event raises money to donate to local charities, with the major charity in 2021 being the Ronald McDonald House. The event has been revamped in 2021 to be more inclusive for riders of all levels. 

No. There will be a maximum of two riders from each team allowed to ride on the track at any one time. You can complete as many laps as you would like, and rotate electronic trackers between team members as often as you wish. The remainder of the day will be filled with playing activities, socialising and encouraging teammates!

100% of money raised is donated to local charities. The day is run by a dedicated group of volunteers along with the support from Tamworth Regional Council. 

Registration will be $500 per team.

Teams are required to have a minimum of four people, and are allowed a maximum of ten people. There will be a maximum of thirty teams allowed to register for the day so register now before it is too late! We can help you to join a team if you are short on numbers.
